This Privacy Policy explains how Row Key Co LLC (“we,” “us”) handles information in the HeatSafe WBGT mobile app (“the App”). We built the App to respect your privacy: we do not require an account, and we do not run our own servers that store your personal data.
With your permission, the App uses your device’s location (precise or approximate) to show heat-risk conditions for where you are. Your location is sent to third-party weather providers — the U.S. National Weather Service (api.weather.gov) and Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) — only to retrieve the forecast and conditions for that point. We do not store your location on any server of ours, because we do not operate a backend. Location access is optional; you can also search for a city by name instead.
Any cities you save are stored locally on your device only. They are not transmitted to us and are removed when you uninstall the App.
The free version of the App shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use mobile advertising identifiers and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can learn more in Google’s advertising policy. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we present a consent form (Google’s User Messaging Platform) so you can choose how your data is used for ads, and you can change your choice anytime from the App’s Settings. Purchasing HeatSafe Pro removes ads.
In-app purchases (HeatSafe Pro) are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to validate purchase receipts and unlock Pro features. We receive purchase records (such as whether Pro is active) but do not receive or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple and Google.
We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, or account credentials. We do not sell your personal information.
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not maintain a backend or user accounts, we hold no personal data to delete. Data stored on your device (such as saved locations and settings) is removed when you uninstall the App.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
